Day 1
Pick up at the Temuco airport (transport shared with the entire group) and transfer to Malalcahuello, commune of Curacautín, trip of approximately 1 hr. 40 min.
Arrival at Casa Rio. Free afternoon to enjoy the facilities.
Dinner at home.
Day 2
Breakfast.
Pick up and transfer to Lonquimay where we will meet with Isaac Huenchunao, who will be our guide on our adventure through Khutrao Khutrao. Approximately 5 hours of randonee to reach our base camp a Ruka Pehuenche.

Day 3

Randone day in Kutrao Kutrao, Andean Cordilleran Valley with an altitude of about 2,100 meters above sea level. This is a place with important meaning for the Pehuenche People, for its
large forests of araucarias. This place is home to the best snow conditions combined with descents for all levels and an exceptional view.
Descent to Lonquimay and transfer to Malalcahuello.
Dinner at home.
Day 5
Breakfast.
We will take an excursion to the starting point of “La Ruta Pehuenche” which was designed by National Architect, Cazú Zegers. For this, the transfer will be through the Cordillera De Las Raíces to a sector called Arenales, where we will carry out a
ride a randonnée and then share lunch with people from the Pehuenche community.
Return to Malalcahuello.
Dinner at home.
Day 6
Breakfast.
Pick up and transfer to the community of Quinquen (approximately 1 hour) where we will settle in and then have a welcome barbecue.
Day 7
Breakfast.
Randonnée day in the places surrounding the community of Quinquen.
Transfer to Icalma Lodge.
Dinner at the Lodge.
Day 8
Breakfast at the Lodge.
Ascent to Batea Mawida, an extinct volcano located on the border between Chile and Argentina. We will make a stop at a Pehuenche ruca and then ski down, low difficulty and wonderful views of the Araucarias forests.
Transfer to Malalcahuello.
Dinner at home.
Day 9
Breakfast.
Transfer to the airport for the entire group.

Where is Casa Río Lodge located?We are in Malalcahuello commune of Curacautín Region of Araucanía, Chile. From the Capital Santiago it is possible to arrive by car or plane. Car: Distance of 718 km. When leaving Santiago you must take route 5 south to the town of Victoria, then continue to Curacautín, from there advance 30 km to Malalcahuello. Plane: You can take a plane from the city of Santiago to Temuco. The distance from Temuco to Malalcahuello is 140 km. Our programs include transfer for the entire group from the Temuco airport.

What is the Weather like in Malalcahuello?Malalcahuello has an oceanic climate. Rain falls on all months of the year. The annual temperature is 16° and the average annual precipitation is 989 mm, the average humidity is 80%. Between the months of November and April it is characterized by having a pleasant temperature and little precipitation. During the months between May and October temperatures drop and therefore precipitation increases. During the months between June and October we have low temperatures and snow, making it a perfect time for winter sports.
