«Cierto resto elegido del sur nativo del mundo, salvará a la comunidad humana que perdió la brújula del alma»

For the virtuous cycle of identity and sustainability to occur, the visitor is essential, with careful tourism of low impact and high experiential experience.

Small-scale work is necessary with communities , who know how to take care of the Earth and it is part of their culture to be sustainable.
A contemporary project must be based on both the territory and its inhabitants in order to be sustainable and to make a real contribution to building a more just and balanced society.

Who we are

In 2013, after a serious skiing accident, I climbed Lonquimay, and I was barely able to ski again. When I was heading towards the newly opened hotel in Corralco, the landscape on the road was breathtaking, the 5 volcanoes of the Northern Andean Araucanía emerged white and majestic suspended over a green sea contrasted by the blue sky. That image was etched in my heart and motivated me to contribute to the development of that territory without demystifying it, caring for and valuing ancestral knowledge, its cultural forms and nature and landscape. That is how Ruta Pehuenche was born! Its slogan: “Ski 5 volcanoes in 7 days”
We are Rocca (9), Colomba (12), Juan Pablo (37) and Carolina (40), a family that wanted to venture into a different life by living quality family time in nature enjoying a simpler and more conscious life. On the trip from Cazú to Malalcahuello we met since we were working in Corralco and from that minute a beautiful and strong friendship was born. From that relationship arises this adventure of Casa Río Experience + Ruta Pehuenche. We want to share with you the experience of inhabiting the new world, an experience of nature and culture through outdoor sports; an active meditation that connects us to the earth and the ancestral sacred.
